An ambassador of Germany in our Republic Stanchina has been in the Central Scientific Library

On October 25 at the exhibition hall of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS a meeting on the theme of “To the development of Scientific-cultural relations between Azerbaijan - Germany” on the frame of the project “People and books” of Germany and Azerbaijan was held. The President of ANAS, an academician Mahmud Karimov, an ambassador of Germany in Azerbaijan Per Cristophey Stanchina, members of ANAS, CSL and embassy took part there. Opening the measure an acad. M.Karimov informed that government of Germany has presented scientific books costing five thousand euro to the CSL of ANAS. At present there are 3 million books in our library. At the same time these books are valuable for us and they will be applied by our scientists effectively. While ruining of humdreds of libraries by Armenian aggressors in our conquered places, burning of hundreds of books the charity realizing by Germany has great importance. Academician M.Karimov thanked to the government of country in our Republic by the name of colleagues of ANAS and Azerbaijan scientific society. The Director of the CSL of ANAS, PhD Philology Sciences Aybaniz Aliyeva-Kangarli, the colleague of the library Sevinj Aliyeva, docent of the Science and Education Department of German-Roman of Scientific-Research Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, PhD of Philology Sciences Saadat Zeynalova spoke about 80 years activity of CSL, its role in the development of our science and growing national scientific staff, the history of scientific-literary relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, its conditions and scientific importance of presented books. In his report ambassador Per Cristopher Stanchina noted his happiness for presenting scientific literature hosted 5 thousand euro to CSL of ANAS. He hoped those book would give its influence to Azerbaijan Science and its influence to Azerbaijan Science and serve to, strengthen real relations between two countries in the filed of culture and science. An ambassador also informed that the library will get other two sets of books costing 5 thousand euro till 2008. Generally, during 3 years this centre will get German literature costing 15 thousand euro. At the end of the measure an ambassador presented to the library the diploma of winner on the project of “People and books” and the first set of German literature.
